§     Project Manager, North Ore Shoot Shaft.  Responsible for rehabilitation of abandoned shaft.  Removal of existing utilities and steel.  Upgrading existing shaft to current standards and developing 7000ft of drift for pre-feasibility study of underground mine at Kennecott Utah Copper Mine.

§     Project Manager, Turquoise Ridge Joint Venture Development Project.  Awarded 2nd contract to develop 15,000’ of long term planned excavation. Continue to strengthen business operations by providing sound management and engineering advice.

§     Project Manager, Turquoise Ridge Joint Venture Development Project.  Responsible for all aspects of 8,500’ development contract including safety, profit and loss, customer relations and contract management.  Strengthen business operations by providing sound management and engineering advice.

§     Project Owner: Barrick Gold Corporation (Contract Value $36,403,373 and $19,651,480)

§     Project Manager, Ross Shaft Rehab.  Responsible for all activities relating to mine rehabilitation for re-entry into abandoned mine.  Managed 45 employees, provided budgetary guidance, cost controls and safety targets.  Worked with state agencies to procure necessary permits and guidelines for the project.

§     Project Owner: South Dakota Science and Technology Authority (Contract Value $10,000,000)

 

Affholder, Inc., Charleston, SC, 8/2005 – 10/2007

§     Project Engineer, Ashley River, Cooper River, and Daniel Island Tunnel Replacement Projects. These projects included design of sheet pile retaining structures, underground excavation plans, pipe installation system, and survey control program for pipe installation.

§     Managed a staff comprised of four (4) engineers and surveyors, six (6) subcontractors, and four (4) six man concrete structure crews for the projects.

§     Responsible for design and implementation of grouted isolation system in a 48” collapsed sewer pipe 100ft underwater.

§     Established Quality Control Process for installation of Fiberglass Pipe in 45,000 lf of rib and lag tunnel ranging in size from 5'x5' hand-mine to 96".

§     Developed and maintained the Primavera Schedule, generated the pay applications and supervised the submittal files.

§     Promoted to Project Manager, June 2007.

§     Project Owner: Commissioners of Public Works Charleston, SC (Contract Values: $26,000,000, $39,600,000 and $24,000,000)

 

Clark/ Atkinson Construction, Bethesda, MD, 4/2003 - 8/2005

§     Field Engineer, Leeville Shafts Project.  Integrated and controlled QA/QC program required for over 250 tons of steel installed with the shafts.

§     Promoted to Project Engineer after passing the Professional Engineer exam. 

§     Managed construction of two (2) deep shafts, 1850ft and 1450ft, including head-frames.  Provided engineering services for client during construction, including surface sump retention and drainage lines.  Managed survey crews for proper underground development of two stations with shops, electrical and conveyor galleries. 

§     Project Owner: Newmont Gold (Contract Value: $48,000,000)

 

Jay Dee Contractors, Livonia, MI, 11/2000 - 4/2003 

§     Field Engineer, Little Calumet Tunnel Project.  Responsible for nine (9) drop shafts ranging in size from 7' to 15' finished dia., multiple small dia. connecting structures which connected to the main 15' dia. tunnel.  Responsible for the supervision and excavation of shafts.

§     Field Engineer, Thorton Transitional Reservoir.  Provided direct field supervision on diversion structure with three (3) 12’ x 12’ sluice gates, 24’ dia. x 200’ deep drop shaft that transitioned into a 60’ dia. x 80’ deep shaft with a 32’w x 140’l x 60’h chamber at the bottom, cut and cover box tunnel with spillway, and a 24’ dia. x 280’ deep shaft with a 24’w x 40’l x 32’h valve chamber at the bottom.

§     Assisted with engineering design for ground support for the diversion structure and connecting tunnel, design of the 32’ diameter arch form and form traveler required for pouring the arch 60’ off the floor.

§     Project Owner: Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (Contract Value: $167,000,000 and $51,000,000)

§     Field Engineer, Miller Transmission Line.  Supervised construction of 1,200 lf of 72" dia. concrete line Pre Cast Pipe, three deep shafts in soft ground conditions, three 8' dia manhole replacements, and a 12’x 12' sluice gate.  Assisted with project manager’s supervision for the construction project.

§     Project Owner: Milwaukee Metropolitan Water District (Contract Value $12,000,000)

 

Clark Dietz, Inc, Evansville, IN, 5/1999 - 11/2000

§      Lead Tunnel Inspector, North Weinbach Tunnel Project.  Duties included daily surveying for line and grade, settlement readings, water level readings, and writing reports to owner.  (Contract Value: $11,000,000).

§      Assisted with other projects in office including design of 12" 12,000 lf of water line alignment and distribution, coordination of work between contractors, preliminary work including report submissions to Indiana Department of Environmental Management

Indiana Department of Transportation, Evansville, IN, 5/1996 - 8/1996

§     Summer Intern.  Tested and cataloged reports of Asphaltic and Portland cement.  Developed computer data program for easy input of results for future inspectors.
